Distracted Driving Information This message is to inform parents of Gardendale High School students that the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and the Jefferson County Board of Education are offering a free driver’s training course this summer.  The class will not focus on how to drive but will be a hands on learning experience designed to demonstrate the dangers associated with driving while distracted.  Current school board students who have an Alabama Driver’s License or Learner’s permit are welcome to attend.

The Distracted Driving Course will be conducted at Gardendale High School on Wednesday, June 27th.  The class will start at 8:00 AM and run until between approximately 1:00 - 2:00 PM.  Participants will need to bring their own lunch and drink as lunch will NOT be provided nor will participants be allowed to leave for lunch.  Those interested can print the attached form (All 3 pages) and deliver them to the school office once completed.  If preferred you may instead obtain a form in the school office and complete it there.  Walk up registration will also be available the day of the class for those who do not have a chance to sign up now.
